It looks like Motorola is planning to launch a new Android offering, and its square. The phone is square and the top flips out to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard underneath the display. Of course, that is where the name comes from, flipping out, its the Motorola Flipout.
As of now there are still some missing details such as when it will be available, how much it will cost and which carrier is going to offer it. Still, we do have the images seen here, along with a decent amount of specs.
The specs make the Flipout seem like it will be a worthy offering, but that will be dependent on whether or not you want to carry a square phone. Personally I say no, but can imagine this getting lots of attention when you pull it out of your pocket.
As for those specs, they look to include a 2.8 inch display, 700MHz processor, 256MB RAM, 512MB ROM, QWERTY keyboard, 3.1 megapixel camera, GPS and Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR.
Finally, as you can see from the images, the Motorola Flipout is expected to arrive in black, green and pink.
