Users looking for more options for watching video on their mobile devices will be able to see episodes of top TV programs once MobiTV debuts on Android. MobiTV gave me a hands-on demo of their upcoming Android app and said it would appear this summer on the Motorola Droid and Droid Incredible. Other Android phones may follow, but no promises can be made for older devices.
MobiTV, the company that also powers Sprint TV, has multiple methods for watching content. Users will be able to watch on-demand video from Disney or top networks, live channels like ABC News or FOX News, and music video streaming channels. The user interface will be similar to what is seen on Sprint TV with some tweaks.
Poor Internet coverage prevented me from testing the live feature, but full episodes with support for organizing by genre or certain tags will be available. Expect to see the app beginning in June if you have a Droid or Droid Incredible.
