The LG Ally is going to have one heck of a promotional campaign thanks to a tie-in with summer blockbuster Iron Man 2. We’ve already seen the great Ally commercials that started broadcasting last Friday, and LG have just announced that the phone will debut May 20th after a blitzkrieg of marketing campaigns. (There’s still no word on carrier or price, but rumors peg it for Verizon.)
The LGIM2.com website will launch sometime today, and according to a press announcement, it will be one of the many Iron Man-themed promotions for the LG Ally. Among the promotions are:
- The superhero commercials we’ve already seen
- A special edition Augmented Reality Iron Man 2 comic book
- An online game playable at LGIM2.com
- Sweepstakes for prizes that include a free year of service on the Ally, 55-inch LG “Infinia” HDTV and Blu-ray home theater system
You can bet you’ll see a bunch of LG Ally product placements every time Tony Starks needs to make a call to War Machine.
