Froyo has arrived at the Googleplex, though Google is quite ready to let it out of the freezer. When a TechCrunch employee went to photograph Froyo, the treat statue was still wrapped and stashed under a tree instead of being next to its friends.
Either way, this confirms that the Froyo statue has arrived at Google’s Mountain View, Calif., headquarters. If you needed any more proof, that also proves that Android 2.2 is indeed the Android OS version codenamed Froyo and it will debut at Google I/O. As you may remember from previous incidents, Cupcake, Donut, and Éclair releases were tipped when statues of those treats first appeared next to the Android statue at the Googleplex.
See you in San Francisco, next week!
