Dell Streak screen has rock solid Gorilla Glass

Everyone loves a good stress test, and the Dell Streak is the latest to get beat up on video and still be left standing. Engadget has a video of the Streak being stabbed several times – I stopped counting at 20 – and there wasn’t a scratch left on it.

Impressive, but this isn’t limited to the Streak. We’ve already seen the Droid endure similar tests, and that’s because both devices use CORNING’s Gorilla Glass. CORNING gave a live demo of the material used for these phones at CES, and I was surprised to sell how well it held up. Despite trying to scratch, poke, and crush it with my keys, the Glass remained unscathed. Of course, it’s not impenetrable.
