Audible for Android…um, yes please.
Audible is an online book store that specializes in audio books and audio versions of other media programs. It’s also the latest company to jump onto the Android bandwagon by releasing a private beta of the app for a lucky group of testers.
Breon Nagy of DroidDog posted screenshots of the app and it looks very good based on his initial impressions. Private beta means us regular folks won’t get to use it for ourselves right away, but it’s good to know that it’s officially in the pipeline. Nagy reports that Audible is incompatible with some older .aa formatted files, but doesn’t support in-app purchasing. Things could change based on tester feedback, but users must purchase through the web for now.
Audible will be available this summer. Head over to DroidDog.com to see a gallery of screenshots.
