The Nexus One just went up for pre-order with Vodafone as of yesterday, and we are already seeing a report suggesting that they have run out of initial inventory. The message was simple, and can be seen below;
“Thank you for placing your order, reference number [redacted]. Unfortunately we have suffered a surprisingly high demand for the Nexus One From Google, which means that it is unexpectedly out of stock. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope to have further stock available within 7-10 working days and will contact you again once your order has been dispatched.”
Of course, this is in big contrast to what we have seen thus far with Nexus One sales in the US that while steady have not seemed to be overwhelming. I also cannot help and wonder if this is a case of Vodafone and Google dealing with limited inventory for the launch or if the handset is really selling that fast.
Either way, reports of the Nexus One with Vodafone being out of stock make it sound like it is selling well.
