Android Apps

Bump
Bumpshares contact info, photos, and files by tapping two compatible phones. When the phones touch, phone numbers or attachments transfer from one to the other. It also lets users recommend apps to download. Both phones must have Bump installed; cross-platform support for Android/iPhone is available.
BuzzDeck
BuzzDeck has cards that pull data from websites and news feeds. See articles from Androinica, ESPN, or Google Reader, or even see status updates posted to Facebook and Twitter. Buzz Deck can auto-refresh in the background and provide notifications when a card is updated.
eBuddy
eBuddy is the mega-chat app for people who wish to instant message on their phone. The app supports multiple conversations and several networks, including AOL IM, Facebook. Google Talk, ICQ, MSN, MySpace, and Yahoo.
Fring
Fring provides free Skype to Skype calls and can work with SIP services like Gizmo5. It also taps into Google Talk, MSN, and several other communication protocols. Wi-Fi will be your best friend with this app.
Gesture Search
Google Gesture Search works as a shortcut for locating contacts, bookmarks, or apps by performing gestures. For people who have a long list of contacts or apps, it provides a quick shortcut to those entries. [YouTube]
Google Voice
Google Voice is a great virtual phone number service, and the app is equally impressive. Use this official app to call or text from your GV number, listen to or read voicemail messages, and receive notifications.
Handcent
Handcent is a supercharged texting app that has popup notifications, reminders for unread messages, pre-typed quick messages, batch deleting, and a much better interface for communicating than the default texting app. It’s a must-have app.
Seesmic
Seesmic is an Android Twitter app with broad appeal. It has a great balance of looks, features, speed, and navigation. It supports multiple accounts, widgets, and a comfortable experience that makes this a winner. Note: See our full Android Twitter app comparison.
Twidroid Pro(€3.39)
Twidroid has long been the leading Android app thanks to a solid interface and bevy of features. It has multiple accounts, themes, a built-in browser, widgets, and much more. If you’re looking for the bells and whistles, consider this app. Note: See our full Android Twitter app comparison.

are you guys smoking crack or prostituting yourselves? there are excellent free apps that you seem to pass up for paid ones. carrr matey comes is free in place of a2b for parking and includes a docking meter reminder.
What happened to Swype? It's way faster (for me) than typing and much easier to do while driving
it is gone, but search the market for shapewriter
Shapewriter left the market June 20/21 for an indefinite period of time. No reason given. No time limit on those that got the last update. I have only used Shapewriter since I first tried it.
Yeah, Swype is nice. Sadly the beta only supports a few languages. Not including my native tongue.
slideit is a viable alternative. It's onboard dictionary isn't as extensive, and there's a few corner cases that are strange (like how do I un-auto capitalise?) Still, the trial is free and worth exploring. euro5 to buy. -Ken
hey idiot driving while txting is dangerous to yourself & others!!
Seriously!!!!
you really are a knob, 100's of people die yearly cos of dick heads like you texting whilst driving.
Swype while driving? You're an idiot. A complete idiot.
Probably shouldn’t be texting while ur driving, might just end up in a bodybag.
Missed a big one: My911, does automatic crash response, roadside assistance, etc.
doesnt work on NEXUS
I agree with Carlo, my911 is possibly one of the biggest up-and-coming out there. Verizon and motorola both have it as a featured app. There's a free app for the my-911.com personal safety app that you can get on Android Market… In addition to 911 GPS tracking, the features of this program are numerous and legit.
SO IF YOU DROP OUR PHONE AND JAR IT (LIKE IN BEING IN A CAR WRECK) THE THING WILL CALL 911?
There are no apps that can schedule profiles and use blacklist/whitelist – this kind of app would come in handy when working shifts – real productivity stuff.
check out tasker on the market. simply incredible…limitless possibilities.
Have you tried using Profile from noimjosh. It has everything you are asking for and does a fine job, too
Hey… you gave us 53 apps… you promised 60. You owe us 7 more

GasBuddy
What is the best app for coupons?
Groupon
IMHO the best App is NoiseCancel! Simply incredible: it turns your phone in a silence maker. This is great during flights or at any other situation when noise is annoying. It really works (even better than dedicated noise supression in headphones)
where do you get this app? cant find it
TWEETDECK definitely should have been in there!!! My recent post Keeping Up With Mobile Times…
Endomondo for all round exercise app. Way ahead of Sportypal and cardio trainer. Pro version even better.
Thanks for some of the tips.
I use my Droid Incredible to take all my notes in my college classes. I'm currently using Inkpad. Can anyone suggest a nice powerful app to use? Something that I can sync to a website. Something that I can draw diagrams in if the professor does so. Thanks in advance.
livescribe, not an app but incredible tool for taking notes in a 'classroom'.
How about UniQPass? It's a cross platform software to support your devices on-the-go, at home, in the office. check their video: http://www.slideshare.net/faytseng/uniqpass-produ… My recent post Be it certified 3com 3m0-331 free questions dumps
