Google’s “Parisian Love” TV spot during the 2010 Super Bowl was hailed as one of the best ads in recent history. Many of you praised the commercial but thought Android could have easily been promoted in that ad. I agree with that sentiment, which is why I made my own search ad.
Below is a video I did called Android Love Story. To be honest, it’s more an advertisement for Androinica.com than Android, but it reveals how I came to discover and love the green bot. First as a curious HTC Dash owner who loved Google, then as a full-fledged Android addict who obsesses about the platform.
The best part is that you can put your own spin on Android with the same tools I used to make this video. YouTube has launched the Search Stories Video Creator, providing simple tools for anyone who wishes to make their own video modeled after Parisian Love. Enter text and type of search (books, products, maps, web, etc.) and select a soundtrack to be minutes away from having your own commercial. Take the system for a spin at YouTube.com/searchstories.
