Sprint users say goodbye to NFL Live, Verizon users welcome live game video and audio streams

Android Apps
When I reviewed the Sprint Hero last year, I praised Sprint TV, Navigator, and NFL Live as great bonus features that attracted me to the phone. Well, only 2 out of 3 of those features will work by the end of the month. Sprint has lost out on its deal to provide exclusive NFL content to mobile phones. Football fans will have to get their live fix from Verizon, the new exclusive provider of live audio and video streams of games on the NFL Network.
Verizon paid nearly $720 million dollars to gain the rights to NFL Network content and the RedZone, which adds up-to-minute highlights and scores. The deal begins in April, meaning there will be a ton of draft-related content piped into the app when it launches for Android and Blackberry devices.
The current Sprint app will cease working at the end of the month, a pity because I really enjoyed using it (especially the Fantasy Football feature). According to a report posted on SprintUsers.com, a replacement app will deliver a live draft tracker, bios on prospects, exclusive blog posts, and a “Live Game Center” with real-time stats, scores, and news. Not exactly a fair trade, but it’s the only option left. On the plus side, Sprint TV will still enable users to watch live college football on ESPN and certain videos on NBC Sports.

Good news, at least if it means I’ll finally be able to uninstall that particular piece of bloatware from my Hero. Now if only they’d lose the Nascar contract as well…
Whats stopping you from removing nascar off your phone? You can do it the same way you did NFL Live. If you are rooted that is………… NFL sucked anyway, the NFL superfan app is the hot ish. Watch all the games live just like you would on NFL Sunday ticket, in case you have to leave the house.
