Yesterday I posted about how Sprint was not going to allow simultaneous voice and data use on the HTC EVO 4G, and well, it seems there is now a little more to this story. So for those that feel simultaneous voice and data is an important thing, read on…
It seems as if Sprint had been reading the Internet and felt the need to post a rebuttal to this initial claim. The response from Sprint was simple and came by way of Twitter.
HTC EVO simultaneous voice+data: Voice+Wi-fi=Yes, Voice+3G=No, Voice+4G=Still TBD, still being tested.
Enough said, they are still testing it, and it looks like it may be a possibility after all.

It's CDMA, they can't do voice and data at the same time. Wimax uses a different set of radios so it would be the same as voice + wifi as far as the phone is concerned.
@Narflar
Did you not read the Twitter, or, are you bitter? No one is saying data will go over CDMA, of course the voice will go over CDMA, the data will go over 4G. From the Twitter: "Voice+4G=Still TBD, still being tested."
Simultaneous voice/data is one of the benefits of 4G.
Ummm, who cares. Its about time SPRINT got off their ass and got a half way decent phone marketed. Most of their phones are crap. And this is coming from a Sprint customer for 11 years.
oh come on… the htc mogul 6800 was way ahead of its time
I wonder if they will use a second technology for 4G + Voice, or, if there is a way to do it all over the same radio.
