Video: HTC’s Sense UI on Android 2.1 with home screen pinch and zoom

Pinch and zoom seems to be a pretty hot topic lately, but I can say that I have not thought (or heard) about it coming available on the home screen. That said, a recently surfaced video is showing an HTC Hero running Android OS 2.1 with just that. Pinch and zoom on the home screen. And judging from the video, it looks pretty smooth, not to mention really slick. You can pinch and zoom which will allow you to see thumbnail versions of all of your home screens. In theory it sounds pretty nice, but personally I am not sure how often I would use that as opposed to just using a simple swipe to the left or right to show another screen. The overall video is 8:41, but I will give you a heads up that the good stuff starts at around the 6:50 mark. Just in case you are short of time.

Can a mod please delete my previous comment. I didn't want my "recent post" thing added. Sorry about that.
"This clip has been blocked in your region". Can it be viewed/uploaded anywhere else?
Same here. Bloody annoying that.
This pretty much demonstrates why pinch to zoom sucks. It's good for some apps but does it need to be on everything?
I have uploaded the video on youtube for people who are having trouble viewing it:

Love Android. Pinch and Zoom seems fine. But this video is too short for Pinch and Zoom demonstrations.
I have not used Android 2.1 yet.
Android 2.1 can support multitouch, right? Does anyone have some good videos for multitouch?
