T-Mobile release new myTouch with Swype, 3.5mm headset jack

T-Mobile has announced a new version of the myTouch 3G that includes a 3.5mm headset jack and the Swype keyboard. The new myTouch takes after the limited-edition myTouch Fender, which was the first T-Mobile Android headset which didn’t require a USB audio connection or 3.5mm headset adapter.
Rumors of this taking place have spread for a few days. As expected, T-Mobile USA has confirmed that the new myTouch is available today in stores nationwide for $149.99 (plus applicable taxes and fees) for a two-year service agreement. Aside from the 3.5mm headset jack, the phone also comes with an updated music player app, 288MB of RAM, and an 8GB microSD card.
There are also a number of pre-installed applications, including text-entry app Swype. We showed how to install Swype on a G1 or HVGA device, but the app is now available officially to new customers who purchase the revamped myTouch. Other pre-installed apps include Barcode Scanner, Music Player, myAccount, and Visual Voicemail.
Though I’m sure plenty of people want to see T-Mobile push the envelope with next gen phones, it seems like they are going to ride this myTouch train until the wheels fall off. The latest version is the third entry from the myTouch family tree and we could see the fourth in the myTouch slide.

Feeling pretty cheated over my MT3G purchase. I got one when they first came out. I haven't had my phone 4 months yet and T-Mobile has already released two upgraded models. They should have at least included the extra memory that was in the Magic in the rest of the world. How about throwing us a bone and allowing us early adopters to trade up to the better model for a price?
i second that. i believe thay do this type of things maybe as some type of marketing strategy? not sure what they are trying to get out. i am just saying here, but i believe this device has been available for some time now, they just didnt want to release it. why do i say that, i got a mytouch megazine from tmobile where in one of the pictures is a lady, forgot her name, i believe she is a tmo exec, she is sporting a white mytouch and if you look closely, her headphone is connected on top, not on the bottom. how long ago was this picture taken?….everything else on the magazine seems pretty old…
A plug style attenuator is employed as a male-female connector where attenuation occurs inside the device, that is, on the light path from one ferrule to another. These include FC fiber optic attenuator, LC attenuator, SC attenuator, ST attenuator and more.
Can someone just tell me how to get swype on mytouch!?!? I downloaded it and it says my trial is up to upgrade. How do I do that?!?! It's so annoying to try and figure this all out. Why can't it just be an app. That would just be too easy I guess.
