The introduction of the updated myTouch 3G has seemingly taken care of a few things, first, it has most likely made many current myTouch owners a little jelous over the extra RAM and 3.5mm headphone jack. But second and perhaps a little more important is that it has driven the price of the original myTouch 3G down just a little bit.
A quick check of the T-Mobile website this morning shows the myTouch 3G (in white) as being listed for $99. Of course, that $99 does still require a two year agreement.
Now comes the question, is the extra RAM and a 3.5mm headphone jack worth 50 bucks. I would say yes, but cannot help but wonder about all of the more innocent (non-geek) customers trying to figure out the $50 difference.
