NPR’s official Android app NPR News can now provide live streams of programming from local radio stations. When released last month, NPR News was able only to play shows after completion. Version 1.2 of the app permits listeners to tune-in to shows like Morning Edition and Tell Me more as the show is broadcast to radio.
NPR News has over 1,000 streams of on-demand and on-air shows. The app also reads and listens to custom playlists, and search for local stations via GPS location or zip code. That adds-on to the previous features of showing top audio and text stories, and showing audio reports of news stories organized by category.
Download NPR News from the Android Market and listen to your favorite shows today.
