Alcatel’s Android based OT-980 slider gets caught on video

As far as I can remember this is the first we have seen in regards to a slider style handset coming from Alcatel. Nonetheless, it appears as if the handset is real having been captured live on video. The model is the OT-980 and is running Android OS 1.6.
All things considered, and obviously without being able to see it in real life, I have to say it looks like a decent handset.
Feature wise the Alcatel OT-980 has a 600MHz processor, 192MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, compass, acceleromter, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G support. As far as the display, that is QVGA and resistive. Finally, it was noted as having an 1150 mAh battery.
So far the OT-980 appears to be headed to Orange and is expected to be introduced during Mobile World Congress, which is coming up in just a few weeks.
