Verizon FiOS Mobile app now available for Android

Android Apps
FiOS users take note, you now have another option for managing your DVR and this option comes in the form on an Android app. The app is simply called FiOS Mobile and will allow users to do things like remotely schedule a recording, browse the current video on demand listings, adjust the parental controls and check to see how much storage space is currently available. Of course, some FiOS customers will be aware that these features were all available by way of the previously existing mobile website. Buy hey, a dedicated app somehow seems nicer and as another little perk — the app is available for free.

For some reason I've never been able to login using the mobile website using my Verizon username and password. I even tried accessing the mobile site from my computer and copy/pasting my credentials just to make sure I wasn't mistyping something. I can finally get in now using this application though so that's good news. It works fine on my T-Mobile MyTouch3G.
Does anyone actually have Fios? There service is so limited to the burbs it seems like. Wish I could actually check this app out…
I have fios. It's great. Had it since last May. Yes, I do live in the burbs.Move there! It's worth it.
I was looking for dvr related articles, this was helpful – bookmarked your site!
I used this and it was helpful, however I had to switch fios dvr's (mine got broken) and once I did that there seemed to be NO way to associate my phone to the new fios dvr. I called verizon and they had no idea what I was even talking about. I tried to log into my verizon account online and follow those steps and that didn't work either. I think they should add a choice on there to dis-associate your phone from the current fios dvr, so you can hook up to a new(different) one. Also, it burns up your battery fast using the wifi and logs off when your phone goes dark…making you have to log it back in. What is kinda cool is you can put your media from your phone onto to the tv, viewing your pics and such on your big screen is kinda cool.
I would much rather be able to watch TV on my iPad. I have and work at DISH Network and with my Sling adapter, I can stream live and recorded TV to my iPad. The best part is that I can use it wherever I have 3G coverage or WiFi. Also, the Sling adapter is compatible with android phones, iPhones, and laptops.
