Dell Mini 5: Take that, iPad?

A video posted by TechCrunch on YouTube shows Michael Dell using the Dell Mini 5 Android tablet. He swipes the home screen a few times and says simply that it will be coming out “in a few months.” Notably, the device on the video is extremely responsive, has a 5MP camera, 3G, and of course, has a touch screen. Unlike the iPad, you will be able to download apps that haven’t gone through a bizarre approval process, you will be able to take pictures, and (presumably) you will be able to watch Flash videos. And like all Android devices, you will also be able to listen to Pandora music while surfing the web (pick your multitasking jab here). It’s a bit smaller than the iPad, which may or may not be a good thing, depending on your preference.

I might have just found my dream version of the iPad, IF it doesn’t cost me an arm and a leg…

Looks a tad larger than my Droid. It will compete with that, but not the iPad. Don't get me wrong, I love Android and will be a big supporter for many years to come!

Sweet! I'd get this – it looks big enough to watch a movie or read a book on, small enough to avoid sharing said movie or book with everyone else on the plane (or wherever) and it will fit nicely in my purse.

Who cares? They release to compete with the ipod touch, and then release a larger one later to compete with the iPad.

Android catches dell up to apple instantly.

I would be very happy to see this come out. I plan to buy an iPad as well but I think ultimately the Android OS will be the best option… it's open!

Really nice , and challenging for Apple iPad, although Apple working more on iPad but if Dell produce devices like Dell mini 5, then it that will be iPad problem for Apple.
