Nexus One hands-on impression and long list of specs revealed

Gizmodo was able to sneak some private time with someone’s Nexus One phone, and a writer for the website gather some new details about the experience of using the Google Phone. As I suggested based on the Nexus One five-minute walkthrough, the phone is noticeably faster than most Android phones on the market. According to Gizmodo, the Nexus is actually faster than the Droid and iPhone. In both app transitioning and web browsing, the phone moves quickly thanks to what’s believed to be a 1GHZ Snapdragon processor.

Other impressions:

The phone is slightly thinner than the iPhone 3GS, something we’ve already suspected. Early photos revealed that the Nexus One is roughly half the size of a G1, so this is definitely a sleek phone.
The screen is “noticeably better” than the Droid with more vibrant colors and brightness packed into a screen size similar to its competitors.
Music playback is decent but not exemplary (same goes for the 5MP camera and flash)
