Multi-touch comes to the DROID, by way of the Motorola Milestone firmware

Android Apps
Those hoping to see the Motorola DROID get updated with multi-touch may want to listen up a little because it is in the process of happening. Well, to be a little more specific, it has happened, but is not available in the form of a ROM for everyone just yet.
Anyway, it looks like Eugene and Barakinflorida over at AllDroid have ported the firmware from the Motorola Milestone into the Motorola Droid and with that comes multi-touch support including pinch and zoom. And I guess in what we can only consider a special bonus, they also added the Nexus boot animation.
As far as availability, it looks like the ROM will be ready in a few days. But in the meantime we can marvel at the YouTube video below.

Don't understand that post, I have already Multitouch in my Milestone/Droid – official version
In the US version (the Droid), the default apps – mainly the default browser – don't support multi-touch.
@mobinauten – The Milestone and Droid are not the same device. The Milestone has multitouch the Droid doesn't
Actually they *are* the same device – the Droid hardware supports multi-touch. Why Google / Motorola decided not to support it in the default apps is anyone's guess.
I believe it's due to Apple US patents on multi-touch
Does anyone know if will ever come the mytouch?
My motorola droid is not multitouch (motorola dext). Does that mean I ´ll have multitouch in a near by future, by downloading something?
You can not use the multitouch in the preloaded internet browser but you can download the dolphin browser in your market. It has the pinch to zoom which is aval for most droid phones by moto.. again its dolphin in the market
