A closer look, a new image and specs on the HTC Bravo (aka Passion)

Android Phones, HTC
We saw that leaked HTC roadmap the other day and were given a pretty good idea as to what we can expect to come from HTC in 2010. All things considered, it looks like we have a few decent handsets to look forward to seeing come available. But in the meantime we are stuck waiting and digging for what information can be pulled and found.
And with that, we are now being given a little bit of a closer look at one of those handsets by way of Ai.rs.
So far, what we now have is the better image, which can be seen below. But here is a closer look at those specs. To begin with the Bravo will be powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon processor, which may be good or bad depending on how you look at it. The higher processor may in turn run Android and any apps a little smoother, but also may take a little more of a hit battery wise.
Otherwise, the Bravo will have a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 512MB flash memory, 320MB RAM, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, GPS, G-sensor, a digital compass, FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack and an “optical joystick.” Finally, it will have a 1400mAh battery and come with Android 2.0.
As of now an official release date, nor pricing has been mentioned. But as far as the rumor goes, it looks like we can expect to see the Bravo become available here in the US during January with a European release coming a little later in April.

Is this still looking to be a TMobile phone? Any chance of Sprint getting it?
The Bravo, and every other phone shown off in that brochure, is not optimized for T-Mobile USA's 3G network. It's possible, of course, that HTC makes a derivative of the Bravo (or the Salsa, or the Legend) and makes it for the US, but we'll just have to cross our fingers for that one.
Lots of new phones linked, but haven't seen any new hotness with a slide-out QWERTY, which I think I would like to have.
And let me also note that, while a large part of me here believes the Bravo could be the Passion, I'm just not ready to forget those leaked images. Nor the leaked specs. Yeah, they were personal pictures and nothing close to official releases from HTC, but they were still there.
And then there's David from Tmo News, and the ninja who told him about code name "Passion". We know that the Passion and Dragon exist, maybe as two different devices or one, via the leaked ROM 2.1. It's out there somewhere.
But, I still want the Bravo.
I really hope this comes to orange in the UK, by the look of the spec sheet it will be truly great. I’m a Hero user at present but would definitely consider trading in and upgrading!
I rang Orange UK to discuss my upgrade yesterday and asked whether the 'HTC Bravo' would be available for when my contract ends in March. I was told that they do have it on system, and it will be available by March but no exact date.
