This little bit is most likely already known by the readers of Androinica, but I felt I should post it anyway, you know, just in case one or more of those readers have been living under a rock for the past few weeks. I joke — but in all seriousness.
The wait for the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Eris has officially come to an end. Both handsets are now officially available at Verizon online. And will also be available in-stores in just a few short hours. Yes, I am up early this morning, but by the time most of you awake, the Droids will be ready and waiting for you.
Now that you know they are both available, lets mention the pricing. The Motorola Droid is the higher priced of the two coming in at $199.99. The HTC Droid Eris is a hundred bucks cheaper at $99.99.
That said, both of those prices come along with two-year agreements and after $100 mail-in-rebates. Which means that you can expect to pay either $299.99 or $199.99 respectively.
With that out of the way. Is anyone planning to head on over and pick up a shin new Droid today? If so which one?
