Sony Ericsson announced its foray into Android in the early hours of the morning when it showed off the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. Packing “Rachael” – officially known as UX for “User Experience” – the phone is a spec sheet beast! On paper, it’s a contender for best handset running Android or any other OS, but we won’t know that for sure until the device is finalized and played with by the public. The Renders
Sony Ericsson execs show off the UX interface with Timescape and Mediascape. The screens are graphic renders and don’t show the lag we saw in the hands-on videos, but it shows the concept fairly well.

The XPERIA X10 has a 4-inch screen WVGA screen and a 1ghz processor, so of course it will make gaming interesting. Here’s a demo of the phone playing Speed Forge 3, a racing game that is already availabe in the Android Market
