Friday is Droid Day at Verizon. Though we already know that the Motorola Droid will be available tomorrow, Verizon today announced that the HTC Droid Eris will also go on sale November 6..
The Eris will go on sale tomorrow for $99 after mail-in rebate with 2-year agreement. Sounds like a GREAT deal to get Sense UI for only one Benjamin, but just like the Droid, the rebate will be delivered through a rather annoying debit card process. Users will have to mail in the rebate and wait several weeks to receive a debit card with $100.
The Droid Eris will be the first Android phone on Verizon Wireless that has HTC’s Sense UI. It will also include a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, 5.0 megapixel camera with autofocus, an 8 GB microSD card (supports up to 16 GB), Bluetooth, 3.5 mm headset, and GPS.
Expect Verizon to be open early in certain stores tomorrow, so get in line and come prepared to pick a Verizon calling and data plan (required to get the phone).
