Verizon teases bloggers by sending a “Droid” to unbox

Judging by the title, this post is obviously a little bit of a spoiler, but it is still worth mentioning.

First of all, I would suspect that many of you have already seen the Droid unboxing that was offered up by MobileCrunch blogger Greg Kumparak but just in case you have not and want to be excited — stop and watch the video below.

Go, continue, watch the video. If nothing else it will give you a solid 1 minute and 48 seconds worth of entertainment time.

Alright, now that you have watched, it is no longer a full-on spoiler when I say that was an R2D2 droid instead of the actual Motorola Droid. But with that I have to applaud Verizon just a little. They have found a nice way to not only promote themselves, but also the Motorola Droid and in turn Android.

Of course, I am also a little jealous that neither Andrew or myself were lucky enough to get the goodies from Verizon. Not to mention any of the other fine Android dedicated blogs.
