It looks like Verizon is making the final preparations for the soon-to-be announced Motorola Droid.
To begin with, we have some snail mail flyers that have recently been spotted. Of course these flyers do not appear to have been actually received in the mail, but instead sent in to BGR by way of email. Unfortunately these do not offer much more in terms of details — instead they offer more of a tease with phrases like “The day of the Droid is approaching” and “Compromise Deactivated. Coming Soon.”
But moving on, it looks like the Droid Does website has offered more in terms of when we can expect to see the official announcement. This information comes by way of the once cryptic message that was displayed. I say once cryptic because it appears that Christopher Daggett (TechCrunch reader and tipster) has cracked the code and determined that the code is a countdown timer that is set to expire on October 28.
Given that it looks like that will be the day the Motorola Droid sees an official announcement with Verizon Wireless. Of course, that just means we will likely have to wait until the actual availability, which has been rumored to be November 6 or 7.
