T-Mobile myTouch comes with lots of accessories, options

The T-Mobile MyTouch launched at a press event in New York City earlier today. Though there wasn’t as much Internet fandom and immediate hype as the Hero launch, some useful information emerged from the event.

For one, T-Mobile is diving full force into this “my” thing. Android is already very customizable internally, but T-Mobile wants to do the same for the hardware. myTouch3g will be available in white, black, Merlot, and changeable back shells that feature pre-designed or custom images. Marketing executive Denny Marie Post described the combination by saying “There’s no cookie-cutter approach to myTouch.”

The myTouch also has a bevy of optional accessories to further “make it yours.” There’s the docking station for easy connection to a desktop, a battery extender that adds 50% more juice, stereo headset with adapter, and several color options for wrist straps, cases, and pouches.

T-Mobile USA is accepting pre-orders for the myTouch.
