Sure, we already know that the myTouch 3G will be available with T-Mobile beginning on July 8, however that date will only be good for existing T-Mobile customers. Otherwise, for any new customers hoping to move in a step up to Android will have to wait until “early August” to purchase a myTouch 3G.
That said, it is never easy to just settle for a date like “early August,” instead we seem to always have this strange desire to find out exactly what “early August” means. Anyway, thanks to some detective work from the crew over at Android And Me, it looks like that date will be August 5.
Their detective work was made possible courtesy of a “new uncommon use from a domain I did not recognize” that was found while browsing Feedburner stats. Anyway, it seems that site had a countdown widget that was labeled as “myTouch 3G in stores.”
All-in-all the date sounds logical, after all, August 5 would indeed be considered early August. Now at least we can share the date, and of course, hope its accurate.
