The latest area to get some good news in the form of an Android announcement is France who are expecting to see the Haier H7 become available in September. This news is coming courtesy of the CommunicAsia 2009 conference, and although there are some details available (aside from specs), there are still a few details that are missing.
To begin with, it was noted that the H7 will set users back $150, of course, we can only assume that will be on contract. Additionally, it was noted that the H7 would be available in September, however a specific launch date was not announced.
Getting back to the specs, overall the H7 is not an earth shattering handset, that said, it does run Android and that alone seems to make it exciting. Anyway, the H7 will feature a 2.8-inch touchscreen display, built-in Wi-Fi, built-in GPS, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, miniUSB, an FM Stereo and a 2-megapixel camera. Additionally, it was reported that the H7 will be running Android v2.0 which is otherwise known as Donut, that is assuming it is available, otherwise we can expect the H7 to launch with Cupcake.
