PayPal releases mobile app for Android

Thanks to the recent introduction of a mobile app, it would appear that PayPal is getting closer and closer to replacing my regular bank account. The recently released app will allow you to check your balance, view your history and send money.

Basically there is nothing revolutionary here, but for regular PayPal users this will be a nice addition. Like I mentioned, this is getting close to replacing my bank account, I now get my paychecks via PayPal and have a PayPal debit Mastercard that I use to pay bills and make purchases.

One tip for logging in, if you have the PayPal secure login token you will have to add that six digit code on the end of your password.

Android users can begin using the PayPal app right away. Just head on over to the Android Market and search for PayPal. Also, for those worried about accessing your banking details on a mobile connection, PayPal assures us that “all your mobile payments are kept safe using the same start-of-the-art technology we use on paypal.com.”
