Dell demos the Mini 10v running Android Cupcake, still does not mean it will be available

Dell, or more specifically Doug Anson a Technology Strategist at Dell has offered up a nice video of the recently released Dell Mini 10v netbook running a few different operating systems. He highlights the Mini 10v running the Dell customized Ubuntu as well as the recently released Ubuntu 9.04 Netbook Remix. Of course there was a third shown and what I would say is the most interesting of the three — it was Android with Cupcake.
Unfortunately the video was short and sweet, actually a little more of a tease than anything else. It was mentioned that Dell does not currently have any “announced product plans” for Android. Of course, that should not come as a surprise to any Androinica readers.
Otherwise, Doug described Android as being “nice,” “small” and “snappy.” Commenting that it “runs fairly nicely.” Given that this was shown off by Dell, I wonder how long until we see an unofficial port of Android for the Mini 10v.
