Network Solutions intro’s mobile WHOIS application for Android

Network Solutions has recently released a new WHOIS app into the Android Market. What can you really say here, with a WHOIS app you will be able to quickly check and see if the domain of your choosing is available. In addition to checking the availability of a name, you will also be able to see the IP and contact information of names that are already registered. I will most likely grab this app for quick checks when I am out and about, of course, I cannot help but wish this was more of an independent WHOIS app. Personally I cannot remember the last time I used Network Solutions directly, but that is most likely due to the $34.99-a-year registration fees.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for writing about the Network Solutions’ WHOIS android app. While we focus products for small business we are concious of Advanced users who need instant results even on a mobile device and we hope they will use this WHOIS app. BTW most customers are small business setting up a web presence so they by hosting and a domain name ( usually free with a annual package).
