Despite multiple reports claiming that the KS360 is going to be the first Android handset from LG, it seems those reports were nothing more than an inaccurate misquote. The latest information comes courtesy of Android Authority who claim to have received their info from LG Mobile UK’s Jeremy Newing, the company’s head of Marketing.
Anyway, assuming this latest report is accurate, the LG KS360 is not going to be the first Android handset from LG. It turns out that instead of planning to release that model, the company was/is just “considering a similar form factor for social networking focused Android phones in the future.”
In other words, they are not planning to release an Android based KS360, but are simply considering using a similarly designed handset. Also, that similar model is not even expected to be one of the three promised for 2009. It was simply a future consideration.
