TeleNav GPS Navigator now available for the G1

Just a quick update post to let everyone know that turn-by-turn directions are now available for the G1. TeleNav has (as expected) released the TeleNav GPS Navigator app for the G1.

As we previously mentioned, the app will offer turn-by-turn directions with voice, nationwide full-color 3D maps, audio traffic alerts, one-click re-routing as well as 10 million business listings that includes everything from gas prices to restaurant reviews.

Those looking to give the app a test can download a free 30-day trial from the TeleNav website, but remember after that it will be $9.99 a month to keep it active.

This is one app that I have mixed feelings on, I am going to give it a test, but I am not sure I am willing to pay the 10 bucks each month. I guess a 30-day test will let me know how much I actually need to have my GPS and phone combined.  Think is, I rarely have a need for a GPS out of my car and a stand-alone unit seems to work just fine already.
