SlingPlayer Mobile headed to Android? Unofficial reports say yes.

Android Apps
SlingPlayer Mobile currently has support for a wide range of handsets to include Palm OS, Windows Mobile and Symbian. We have even seen official confirmation that an iPhone app is in the process of being submitted for approval. This seems to leave another mobile OS (Android) left out, but thanks to an unofficial confirmation from SlingCommunity member MegaZone it looks like it may be in the works.
MegaZone stated that;
“The next logical platform is Android, which we’re already taking a strong look at. Unlike webOS, Android already has multiple announced devices with commitments from several major device makers for even more, with carriers lined up world-wide.
Of course, he also mentioned that;
“the actual development information hasn’t been released yet so it is premature to be talking about development.”
Sadly, this just leaves me wanting more information, but hopefully as we see more Android handsets actually hit the market (as opposed to simply being announced) then Sling will step up a little quicker. I can imagine they have an interest, but being smart, it is fair to assume that they have to make sure there is enough interest from the community as well.
