Providing a fix for an irritant that has been calling out to be corrected, a post on Android Unleashed provides instructions for a hack that enables autorotate in the browser based on the orientation sensor. The hack appears fairly simple, though installing it does require root access, making it more difficult for the crowd already updated to RC30. The post provides a minimally modified browser.apk for download and detailed instructions for replacing the included version.
The new browser comes with a note that the Flip Orientation menu item no longer works, but with the fix provided there is really no use for this option anyway. Catch the full posting at Android Unleashed
